Shigeru Miyamoto

Shigeru Miyamoto is the creator of the Mario brothers, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, and many other video game franchises. He was hired by Nintendo in 1977 to originally create advertisement pictures and paint the artwork on arcade cabinets. In 1979 he was given a large amount of unused "Space Invaders" a arcade cabinets and was told he could do what he wants with them. In under a year, he returned to the company with a reprogrammed Space Invaders game he titled Donkey Kong. Since then he has been the lead directors in almost all Mario and Zelda games.
